Here's a link to a rather disturbing pattern in newspapers. It could be deliberate censorship of the visual understanding of the war, or simply a media that has grown too cowardly to deliver the full impact of warfare upon its own readership.

I think by far the best argument against showing dead soldiers is that it may distress their families.
I also think that the fact that children watch TV and read newspapers should temper what's shown...
